Jessica

Born and raised in southeastern WI, Jessica comes to Bergamot as a recent graduate from the Wisconsin School of Massage Therapy in Germantown. Her massage style can be described as mainly Swedish with medium pressure, but can add therapeutic techniques to areas that need more attention. She is excited to grow as a massage therapist and further her education.

Naåd

Karter

Karter joined Bergamot with eight and a half years of massage experience gained in their Wyoming hometown. Karter graduated with their massage therapy degree from, and later taught in, the Sheridan College massage therapy program. They previously completed a bachelor’s degree in journalism from The University of Iowa. And is now working toward a MS in counseling from Marquette University. They are accustomed to working deeper and utilizing neuromuscular techniques along with cupping, gua sha, stretching, and Swedish techniques to aid clients in restoring range of motion and reducing pain. Deeper doesn’t have to mean painful, according to Karter. They enjoy working with clients in a manner that appropriately addresses the clients concerns and, at times, fear of firmer pressure.

In their free time, Karter likes to hang out with their family in Wisconsin, volunteer with the LGBTQ+ community, hike, read, and snuggle their two kitties.

She started working for Bergamot in May of ‘23.

She describes her style as relaxing and flowing. She enjoys “spa” type of services where it’s a mixture of both aesthetics and massage. She is also fond of cupping because it helps with those tense muscles without the pain and clients feel more “light” afterwards. She is knowledgeable in Gua Sha and Reiki.

Her favorite outcome is leaving clients feeling relaxed and having met their needs.

During her free time she likes hiking, walking around downtown Madison, traveling, hanging with her kids, or cooking.

Working at Bergamot has allowed her to meet new and exciting people. She loves getting to know each client. She loves the atmosphere here and finds her coworkers very kind and generous.

Chehale

Chehale (pronounced: Shuh-hay-la) has been practicing massage therapy since attending the Green Mountain Institute of Integrative Bodywork and Massage in Bennington, VT in 2009. She also attended the Sedona School of Massage in 2013, and has an Integrative Healing Arts certificate with an emphasis in Spiritual Studies and Life Coaching from the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts (SWIHA) in Tempe, AZ.

Her massage style is best described as an integrative and intuitive style in which she is truly present with and for her clients. She does not specialize in (physical) deep tissue, but rather ~ Deep, in an energetic, spiritual sense.

Her favorite outcome is supporting people on their healing journey as they make connections with the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects going on in their lives & thus, their bodies. She feels it is important that each person do their part to take responsibility for their own health and well-being, as we all have the capacity to heal ourselves. She encourages her clients to incorporate self-care techniques into their lives on a daily basis (short times, many times - throughout their day); and to look at massage as part of their wellness plan rather than as a luxury, and make it a regular (ideally - at least, monthly) routine.
